Scot's 301 Redirect & .htaccess Utility / Remove .htaccess Settings Manually
If you happen update your .htaccess file with settings that your server doesn't like, your site could (and probably will) go down with nothing more than a cryptic internal server error message to explain what happened.
If it happens to you, fix it by manually editing your .htaccess file and deleting everything in between, and including, the following two lines: ### scots301 store1 start .... ### scots301 store1 end
Note: Your .htaccess file is located in your root web directory and can be downloaded using an FTP client such as FileZilla. If you can't see your .htaccess file, find the setting to view hidden files in your FTP software.
